Honesty Is The Best Policy

For those of you who have had enough of the riddles, feel free to comment to my mom on her birthday post. For everyone else, enjoy:

What food is it that you throw away the outside of, cook the inside of, eat the outside of, and throw away the inside of?

Chicken?
Throw away the skin/feathers.
Cook and eat the meat.
Throw away the bone.

Um, yuck. It's really pretty gross when you think about it.

i guess that is another answer but that is not the one that is written as the answer.

Good job Mancuso family. Maybe someone can find another?

Well, I have another one, but i will admit that it is probably not the answer, because it is how I eat it, but probably not everyone:
A hard boiled egg. Throw away the shell, cook and eat the whites, throw away the yolk.
