Life's a Beach

P. Caleb had the chance to get out to the ocean today and escape some of this wicked heat. The Queen's friend Michelle and Michelle's brother, Michael were there to enjoy some of the sunshine too. Mike had only been to the beach a handful of times and was up for anything. Given that, Mike was buried in the sand with just his head sticking out. It was quite a sight. P. Caleb was there to add some comic relief. The beach was great, the water was refreshing (or so our feet thought), and the company was top notch. We can't wait to go again!

Very nice! What a good sport Michael is. Amazing! What beach did you go to?

we were at Robert Moses. It was a really great day to go because it was so hot. Amazingly it was not as packed as I thought it would be.

Funny side note:
Caleb wasn't keen on going anywhere near the water but I wanted to get my feet wet so I held him and let the water hit my feet. He was so nervous that even though I was holding him, when the water came up he got all tense; he balled his fists, tightened his jaw and started to shake like he does when he makes a muscle. It was pretty cute.

Can't blame him for being nervous -- that's a pretty big bathtub! His "muscle face" is very cute! It looks like he was enjoying the sand though! Glad you got to go. XO
