Key, Key, Key...this word has haunted the Castle for a week now, what to write, what to write....so many choices. The Key to sanity, a happy life, the back door... So we drew from a hat...and the winner is:
THE KEY TO GETTING A TODDLER TO STOP HITTING THE AUTHORITIES (A.K.A The KING AND QUEEN).
Here is the ROYAL twist to this Heads or Tails Tuesday. Please hit us with your best advice. This will have to be somewhat of a creative answer since all the obvious ones have been tried: time out, reasoning (We don't hit you so don't hit us), empathy (it hurts when you hit mommy and daddy, that makes us feel sad)...so c'mon out there in the Kingdom, let your voices be heard on this HorTT!

Never let it be said that I don't go an extra mile...
I found a very good link for you here. :)
Good luck!
Whenever my toddler hits we tell him "Don't hit" and then my toddler thinks it's a joke and pretends to spank himself and then tells us "Don't hit". I'm going to check out that link Skittles got for you, I need all the help I can get sometimes. :o)
I'm going to check out the link, too. Of all the problems I had with my kids (and they were many, so many), that was not one. And my problems were of some serious stuff. They kids are grown and wonderful now, despite me. Professional, responsible and loving. I teach and that link will always help.
I've no kids of my own, but I used to work as a part-time nanny during my student days. One of the kids I cared for went through a kicking, smacking and biting phase when he was about two. The reasoning failed - he would just fly into rages and lash out at people. I handled it by removing him to a separate room, making it clear he wasn't welcome in the same room as me, when he was being violent. I'd check him every few minutes to see he was okay, but wouldn't allow him back into the same room as me until he stopped. His parents started doing the same with him, and he got the message pretty quickly that attacking people wasn't cool.
thanks for your help all...i'll give the link a try as well as the seperation thing
I guess you should try application of really slippery oil on all your body, atleast you can avoid the impact :D
